Warranty

Miguel Mateo Luthier warrants his plucked string and bowed string instruments to be free from defects in material and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of original purchase and payment. Products not manufactured by Miguel Mateo luthier will be guaranteed for three (3) years from the original date of payment, except cases. Old or second-hand instruments will be guaranteed for one (1) year. This warranty is given only to the original purchaser and cannot be assigned or transferred to subsequent owners. Miguel Mateo Luthier will repair the defect or replace the instrument with the same model of similar value that does not exceed the original purchase price of the instrument. This guarantee will cover the cost of labor and materials in any repair considered. Miguel Mateo Luthier reserves the right to use regularly used materials at the time of repair if the original materials are no longer available. This warranty is only offered to the individual purchaser or retail purchaser when the instrument is purchased new from Miguel Mateo Luthier's workshop and is subject to the limitations set forth herein.

                                                                       Doesn´t cover warranty 

• Strings, fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, nut and/or gear wear.
• Any instrument that has been modified, altered, adjusted or maintained in any way.
• Damage to the finishes, cracks, splits or deformation of the wood due to changes in temperature and/or humidity, exposure or contact with the sun, fire, sweat, constant humidity, salts and acids, guitar straps or hangers of guitars made of vinyl, plastic, rubber or other synthetic materials, any other chemical product or polish not approved by Miguel Mateo Luthier.
• Any instrument that has been damaged or by third parties due to misuse, negligence, indirect, consequential, accidental, or incorrect execution of the instrument. 
• Corrosion or oxidation damage to any mechanical component caused by exposure to humidity, ambient or salty air, body salts and acids.
• The subjective question of tonal characteristics
• Any damage caused as a result of customization or modification of the instrument.
• Shipping damage of any kind. 
• Normal wear and tear of any part of the instrument, damage or discoloration of the finish of the instrument for any reason and/or the case including the tuners, pickguards, scratches, wear, aging, as well as the cases on handles, leatherette, hinges, latches, etc.
•  Acts of nature.
•  The instrument that has been altered and/or is missing in any way the serial number or label.

No other warranty of any kind is offered. All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, beyond the specific provisions of this warranty, are excluded from this warranty. Miguel Mateo Luthier is not responsible for damages for loss of profits or business or damages resulting from the use of the instrument, whether in contract or tort, even if Miguel Mateo Luthier or his authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages and Miguel Mateo Luthier will not be responsible for any expense, claim or demand arising from or in relation to the foregoing.

To obtain warranty assistance, the instrument must be taken to the workshop located in Zaragoza where it was purchased or to a dealer where the guitar was purchased with a copy of the payment receipt to obtain a return authorization before returning it to the Miguel Mateo Luthier workshop. All shipping and insurance costs, including any value perceived as a "collector", are the sole responsibility of the legitimate buyer and upon arrival at the Miguel Mateo Luthier workshop, it will be determined if the defect or cause is covered by the terms of the guarantee. 

Upon arrival of the instrument at Miguel Mateo Luthier's workshop, it will be determined if the defect is covered under the terms of the guarantee. If the repair is covered under the terms of the warranty, it will be repaired at no cost to the legitimate purchaser, including return shipping. If the repair is not covered by warranty, a repair estimate will be provided to the original purchaser.
